The first Mine Park of China begin assessing

It is learned from the website of The Ministry of Land and Resources that the first National Mine Park assessing conference organized by The Ministry of Land and Resources is held in Beijing on July 22th-23th. The Assessing Committee composed of more than 20 experts such as The Ministry of Land and Resources, National Tourism Administration, State Environmental Protection Administration of China, China Mining Association, China Geological Survey and so on. There are many leadings form Beijing, Hebei, Heilongjiang and Guangdong and more than 300 representatives of 28 officials attend to the assessing conference.

The experts believe that the construction of Mine Park is an innovation in China. It is propitious to effective protection and scientific utilization of mineral resources traces and promoting Chinese mining culture. Besides, it is propitious to strengthen environment protection, ecological restoration and promoting enterprises take the road of sustainable. Meanwhile, the construction of National Mine Park is also conductive to promote the development of local tourism.

The construction work started in 2004. It is learned that the national mine park should have conditions as follows:

¢± An international and domestic famous mines or unique mine

¢² Have many a rare or important mining sites

¢³ Superior location, beautiful natural landscape and human landscape

¢´ Carried through a system research

¢µ Clear land ownership, infrastructure maturity
