China¡¯s mining service sector expands

As China#8217;s mining industry pushes to modernize its operations and increase its stake in global resources, more mining operators are turning to mining service companies for expertise and support. Te services miners are seeing range from advanced software support---offered by companies such as Datamine and Mocromine ---to environmental compliance consulting.

Currently dominating the service market are mine design and due diligence services. Key to ensuring optimal production rates, mine design has taken on increasing importance in today#8217;s more sophisticated sector. Due diligence services enable Chinese companies to seek the best financing available on global stock markets, while simultaneously helping international companies into compliance with Chinese regulations.

Mine Design

China ENFI Engineering Corporation

Established in 1953, China ENFI Engineering Corporation is an international engineering offshoot company of the China Nonferrous Engineering and Research Institute. It is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Metallurgical Group.

Like other big mining service provides, ENFI provides extensive services throughout the life of a mine, including mine design, but also feasibility studies, engineering, mineral treatment and environmental assessments.
